Center for Research, Transfer and Entrepreneurship (FTGZ)

The Center for Research, Transfer and Entrepreneurship (FTGZ) is a central structural unit of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences that provides organizational support for research work at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, knowledge and technology transfer and transfer through start-ups. In April 2021, the Research and Technology Transfer Center and the FOUND IT! start-up center were merged to form the new FTGZ.

Contact point and public funding

We act as an important point of contact between Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and regional, national and international Economics and research organizations. To this end, we participate in many networks, alliances and associations. We provide information about research activities, development potential and services offered by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

With our internal university newsletter "News from the FTGZ", we regularly inform our research groups about all new calls for proposals for public funding programs that match the research priorities of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. We advise our researchers on suitable funding programs for new research and innovation ideas and support them with the formalities involved in applying for funding. For inquiries from international consortia for European project applications, our EU research manager helps to establish cooperation with suitable researchers from our university.

Transfer through start-ups, services, contract research and cooperation

An important task of the research service is the transfer of scientific results into utilization by (mostly regional) business partners; alongside teaching and applied research, it is the "third mission" of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The FTGZ has further developed the transfer strategy of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in its funding project FORZA in the BMBF program "Innovative University" and fills it continuously and creatively with life.

When external partners and interested parties enquire about opportunities for services, contract research or cooperation within the framework of funded projects, we are happy to put them in touch with suitable research groups at the university.

An important way of transferring R&D results is the spin-off of research teams from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Our FOUND IT! start-up center helps with intensive training and practical coaching as well as with the procurement of start-up capital or start-up grants.
