Profi+MED

The PROFI+ MED project at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is aimed at international academics with a completed medical-academic education from a foreign university, primarily targeting healthcare professionals and mainly doctors. Prof+MED provides structured support for these individuals until they receive their professional license. The primary focus is on linguistic preparation. The course content is tailored to the requirements of the medical language examination of the Medical Association but can be flexibly adapted to individual needs. Cultural sensitivity and general communication skills are also developed.

As part of the project, participants receive structured support to quickly qualify for the German job market. This includes guidance on administrative processes and targeted teaching of job-relevant skills to improve job entry opportunities. Existing contacts and networks of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in the healthcare sector are utilized and further developed.

Running from April 2024 to December 2028, the project is intended to actively address the shortage of skilled workers in the healthcare system in Saxony-Anhalt.
