The following outlines opportunities for funding startup initiatives at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
EXIST Startup Grant
This is a funding program administered by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). It provides funding for start-ups originating in the academic sector. Support is available to students, graduates, and researchers from universities and non-university research institutions who wish to bring their business ideas to fruition.
ego. programs
As early as 2000, the state of Saxony-Anhalt launched a startup initiative (ego. for short). Its continuation was established for the 2014–2020 EU Structural Funds period. The aim is to generate even more innovative startups from Saxony-Anhalt’s universities. To achieve this goal, the two funding programs “ego.-Gründungstransfer” and “ego.-INKUBATOR” were launched.
ego. Start-up Transfer
This program provides direct support to startup teams composed of students, graduates, or research staff at the university and covers personnel and operational expenses. Innovative, technology-based, and knowledge-based start-ups are funded by the State of Saxony-Anhalt for the pre-launch phase with support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
ego. Incubator
The ego.-INKUBATOR is a startup infrastructure at universities funded through the program. In workshops with hands-on, subject-specific guidance, students and staff at universities in Saxony-Anhalt can work on innovative ideas using new technologies, processes, or materials. Access for developing and testing your own business ideas is free of charge; however, registration with the respective contactsat Anhalt University of AppliedSciences is required.
