On November 11, 2026, it will be that time again: Anhalt University of Applied Sciences will hold a ceremony at the Schloss Köthen Event Center to award the Germany Scholarships to 37 dedicated students. The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Germany Scholarship supports students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and social engagement. It provides a monthly stipend of 300 euros, half of which is funded by the federal government and half by private donors. Anhalt University of Applied Sciences has been awarding this honor since 2011, thereby fostering valuable connections between academia, Economics, and society.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all students receiving a scholarship. Their outstanding academic achievements and commitment deserve our recognition. With this scholarship, we want to give them the freedom to focus on their studies while also contributing to our university community and society,” says Professor Jörg Bagdahn, President of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. He welcomes the guests and opens the event.

The keynote address is delivered by Mathias Dögel, Managing Director of Dögel GmbH. Under the title “Roby Ready: Robotics Is No Longer Science Fiction,” he explains where humanoid robotics is currently being used in business, what its limitations are, and what prerequisites a company must establish. This is followed by the ceremonial presentation of the certificates. The Mitteldeutsche Salonorchester provides musical accompaniment. Stephan Baier serves as the emcee for the afternoon. Afterward, the university and the scholarship recipients invite everyone to a festive reception in the foyer.

Even before the official program begins, there will be time to get to know one another: Starting at 3:00 p.m., sponsors and scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to chat over coffee and cake and take commemorative photos together.

Anhalt University of Applied Sciences extends its heartfelt thanks to all 27 sponsors. Many of them have been supporting the program for years. They play a vital role in helping talented young people realize their potential.

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend.
