When colored lights illuminate the vines and the landscape, the “Waladala” teaching and experimental vineyard at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences takes on a very special magic. On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the university invites the public to an evening event at the vineyard from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Guests can look forward to an atmospheric setting with special lighting effects and a selection of specialty beverages.

Whether on a wine hike, at a Federweißer tasting, or on a guided tour, many wine lovers have already discovered the educational and experimental vineyard. They have enjoyed the magnificent view of the city of Bernburg. “Now we’d like to offer our guests the opportunity to experience the vineyard from a whole new perspective,” says Sabine Thalmann, administrative director at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Special lighting will cast the vineyard in a new light during the evening hours and highlight its unique character.

Two food and beverage stands will be on hand to cater to guests’ culinary needs that evening. “In addition to the popular wine spritzer, we’re offering two new drink creations: the ‘Weinbergsfeuer’ and a white mulled wine,” says Thalmann.

Music, special beverage offerings, and the view of Bernburg illuminated at night make a visit to the teaching and experimental vineyard a special experience.
