To mark National Hydrogen Week, the H2HUB team from the H2HUB project in Saxony-Anhalt cordially invites all interested parties to the 2nd Citizens’ Energy Day. The event will take place on June 25, 2026, in the Audimax at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and concluding around 8:00 p.m.

Under the theme “Understanding Hydrogen: A View from the Plenary Hall to the Living Room,” various perspectives on the future energy sector will be presented throughout the evening. The event will begin with an overview of the federal government’s national hydrogen strategy. This will be followed by a discussion of Saxony-Anhalt’s hydrogen roadmap, with a focus on regional infrastructure projects. Next, the discussion will turn to the municipal level: the city of Köthen will present its local initiatives. Finally, a representative from the private sector will provide insights into opportunities for homeowners.

The event is aimed at all residents of Köthen, the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, and all of Saxony-Anhalt who would like to learn more about the opportunities and challenges of hydrogen. Regardless of prior knowledge, all interested individuals are welcome. Questions from the audience will be actively incorporated into the program.
