The startup project Lunnory from Köthen was featured on MDR on May 10. The segment focused on founder Christian Riedel, a student of Mechanical Engineering at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, who is bringing sustainable innovations to the funeral industry with his idea.
Lunnory develops compostable and eco-friendly burial urns that combine sustainable materials with modern manufacturing and laser technologies. The goal of the project is to create alternatives to conventional burial urns that are both environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
The starting point for the development is the challenge that many traditional burial urns contain materials that are not suitable for long-term burial in the ground. Lunnory therefore relies on certified biodegradable materials that fully integrate into natural cycles. At the same time, the technologies used enable custom designs as well as resource-efficient production with reduced machine wear.
Founder Christian Riedel is developing the project at Anhalt University Center for Entrepreneurship. The FOUND IT! Startup Center is guiding him through the startup process and supporting the further development of this innovative business idea.
