Maria Alicja Maciejko

Maria Maciejko is a researcher, lecturer, and designer exploring the intersection of design and future studies. She studied Fashion Design at the University of South Wales, UK, and earned a Master's degree in Integrated Design from Hochschule Anhalt before joining the Bauhaus Innovation Lab in 2024.

Her research focuses on how design can help imagine and navigate uncertain and far-fetched futures. She develops approaches that integrate futuring and speculative thinking with design methods, exploring new ways to engage with uncertainty and use imagination as a tool for fostering creativity and innovation.

At the Bauhaus Innovation Lab, she contributes to research on speculative and future-oriented design methods. She has been involved in teaching projects and workshops, exploring how futuring can be integrated into design education. Through her work, she aims to encourage creative exploration of alternative futures.
