Computer Science and Languages don't sound like they belong together at first, but they make sense in terms of content: our degree programs operate at the intersection of digitalization, media, (programming) languages and future technologies.

From Applied Computer Science to the orchid subject of Software Localization, our Department offers degree programs that are crucial for shaping a digitalized and networked world. Computer Science with the application example of Game Development as well as Data Science and Interactive Media pave the way to exciting working environments from Bachelor's to Master's level.

Technical Translation and Software Localization make up the language department of our faculty - this is where specialists are trained who play a decisive role in the internationalization of software products.

In our Bachelor's degree programs, which cover several disciplines, students analyse, conceptualize and design classic and new media or help with the internationalization and marketing of software products with corresponding translation.

In computer science, for example, advertising films or software solutions are created. They also develop internet applications such as computer games or internet stores. Students also program classic software systems in small teams. The high practical orientation of our degree programs is evident not least in the many projects that are implemented with real practice partners. In the field of localization, online help, user manuals as well as menus and buttons of computer programs are translated and adapted to specified target languages.

It is often difficult to imagine what exactly is behind this or that course title based on a course description on our website. What can you do with a degree in Computer Science or Software Localization? Do you even meet the criteria for the degree program?
