Mauricio Sosa Norena

Mauricio Sosa Noreña is a Colombian advertising professional and designer. During his advertising studies, he did an exchange at the University of Navarra in Spain, where he studied audiovisual communication for a year.

After graduating, he worked in advertising and audiovisual production, but most of his professional career was in education, as a lecturer at different universities in his hometown of Medellin. There he taught creative thinking, advertising campaigns, communication for social projects and audiovisual production for advertising projects, among other subjects. He specialised in Creative Intervention (development of creative projects) and was head of the Advertising Communication course at a university in his hometown.

He has been living in Germany since 2017, where he studied the Master in Integrated Design in Dessau and worked as a freelance designer and as a guest lecturer at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau on the subjects of illustration, visualisation for architectural projects and design and communication for social projects. He was also a moderator for the Viadrina University Summer School in Frankfurt (Oder) and for the online international workshop "Re-Imagine Your City".
