Vita

Prof. Dr. Martin Wähner absolvierte ein Diplomstudium an der landwirtschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Leipzig im Bereich Schweinezucht. Anschließend schloss er eine Tätigkeit als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter ab und erwarb den Doktortitel. Nach einer achtjährigen Tätigkeit als Betriebsleiter einer Schweineproduktionsanlage mit 10.000 Schweinen kehrte er wieder zur wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit zurück. Er nahm eine Stelle als wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der landwirtschaftlichen Fakultät, Abteilung Schweinezucht an der Universität Leipzig an. 1986 erlangte er die Habilitation zum Thema „Anwendung der Gn-RH Ovulationsstimulation von brunstsynchronisierten Sauen“. Seit 1995 ist Prof. Wähner als Lehrkraft für Grundlagen der Tierproduktion an der Hochschule Anhalt in Bernburg tätig.
