Course content and objectives
With us, you have the opportunity to study International Business in two different ways, each tailored to your language and career goals.
- German branch: In the German branch of the International Business degree program, you have the flexibility to choose the modules that best suit your interests from various compulsory electives. This diverse selection allows you to customize your course of study and focus on specific subject areas.
- Language of instruction: predominantly German
- Language training: As part of your studies, you will acquire in-depth language skills in a foreign language of your choice. You can choose from English, French, Russian or Spanish. These in-depth language skills will optimally prepare you for an international career and expand your professional opportunities.
- English-language branch (IBS): The English-language branch of the International Business (IBS) degree program offers you a degree course taught entirely in English.
- Language of instruction: English
- Language training: In addition to the international orientation of the course, you will also acquire basic knowledge of German. These language skills will open up opportunities for you in both international and German-speaking business contexts.
Both study options are designed to provide you with a sound business education that will prepare you for a successful career in the globalized business world. The Bachelor's program in International Business is a modern, future-oriented economics education in Business Studies. The program is structured in a six-semester study period with mainly compulsory courses in English. An 18-week internship is also mandatory after the fifth semester including the Bachelor's thesis and Bachelor's colloquium.
The International Business degree program prepares students thoroughly for a - mainly commercial - career: Industry, services, trade, banks, insurance companies and administrations are potential employers in Germany and abroad.
The focus is on business management basics and methodological knowledge as well as international aspects. The program also includes intensive training in German as a foreign language, the acquisition of intercultural skills and the development of the corresponding communication skills.
Requirements
- Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or a qualification recognized as equivalent
- Professional qualifications that are recognized as university entrance qualifications
- Studying without an Abitur

Applicants must demonstrate an equivalent level of English language proficiency:
- TOEFL: min. 88 internet based / 605 paper based

- IELTS (International English Language Testing System): min. 6.5
