Studienkolleg prepares you for studying

You want to study in Germany but are lacking the required subject-area knowledge and language skills? The Preparatory School (Landesstudienkolleg), a joint institution of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, teaches you the knowledge you will need to study at a German university. Three courses are available depending on your focus: technical, business and economics, or social sciences. The program typically lasts two semesters. After successfully passing the examination at the end of the course, you can start your studies in Germany.

The path to the Studienkolleg

Application

If you do not have direct access to study at a university in Germany, you can apply to our Studienkolleg. Admission to the Studienkolleg of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is only possible with a valid admission (reservation) from a university in Saxony-Anhalt.

Admission test

All those who wish to prepare for a course of study at the Studienkolleg must take an entrance test. We will inform you of the time and place in the invitation.

Matriculation

As soon as you have passed the entrance test, we welcome you to the Studienkolleg of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences!

The path through the Studienkolleg (lessons)

G-courses

The G-course serves as preparation for degree programs in the social sciences.

W-courses

The W-course serves as preparation for degree programs in economics.

T-courses

The T-course is designed to prepare students for technical, mathematical and scientific (except biological) degree programs.

DSH courses

DSH courses are for applicants who lack only the language certificate for admission to a German university or college. In addition to acquiring the German language of instruction, the students are comprehensively prepared for life in Germany.

Completion of the Studienkolleg (examinations)

Assessment test

The assessment test marks the end of the G, T and W courses at the Studienkolleg. You can only take this examination if you have previously attended the courses at the Studienkolleg.

German language examination for university admission (DSH)

The German Language Examination for University Admission (DSH) is the final examination of the DSH courses at the Studienkolleg. You can only take this examination if you have previously attended the courses at the Studienkolleg.
