- In vitro culture of sterile plants, tissue cultures, callus cultures, regeneration
- Studies to promote nutrient uptake and plant growth
- Testing of plant growth-promoting microorganisms
- Detection of “systemic induced resistance”, monitoring of resistance gene activities
- Variety testing, variety determination, pathogen diagnostics
- Studies on plant roots affected by Agrobacterium rhizogenes
Technical equipment:
Greenhouses that can be used year round, fully automated climate chambers and climate cabinets, sterile safety cabinets, shaking and rocking incubators, bubble columns and stirred-tank bioreactors for microorganisms, protein and DNA extraction, SDS-PAGE and agarose gel electrophoresis, high-resolution microscopes and fluorescence microscopy
