Mathematics I and II for all Bachelor's degree programs and Selected Topics in Mathematics, Statistics and Numerics for all Master's degree programs at the FB
- 2+1 semester standard course - develops the basic mathematical and statistical skills of a UAS engineer
- covers roughly the content of the 3 volumes "Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists" by L. Papula
- as well as in-depth topics of statistics, especially in the Master's program
- is supplemented by basic chapters and computer applications (Matlab/Octave, R and Wolframcloud)
Note: Enrollment in the Moodle courses can only take place in the first week of the lecture period. This is for technical reasons.
Revision courses as a bridge course
- In the winter semester, tutorials are offered regularly to review the course material
Exam preparation revision courses
- asynchronous to the course, i.e. in the summer semester for Math I and in the winter semester for Math II
If required, please contact Ms. Vivien Altwasser at the beginning of the semester, enroll and attend regularly!

WeBWorK - an interactive e-learning system (technically supervised by Mr. Frank Engelmann)
- Open source software - operated on a server of the Department with encrypted data transmission
- Development of individual tasks for mathematics and other subject areas (in collaboration with Ms. Altwasser and student assistants)
- Localization together with Prof. Dr. Uta Seewald-Heeg from FB 5
Wiki project - linking the various subject areas of the Department (technically supervised by Mr. Michael Bieniek)
- with regard to similarities in content
