Graduation Scholarship and Scholarship for social commitment

Main objective of the scholarship is to financially support qualified international students in bachelor and master programs in order to allow them to concentrate exclusively on writing their final thesis and finishing their studies successfully.

There are two types of the scholarships available. Each will grant EUR 400 per month for 3 months.

 

 

  • Graduation Scholarship

    Qualification:

    Applicants must 

    • be enrolled at Anhalt Universtiy of Applied Sciences with the aim to obtain a university degree 

    • be in the final stage of their degree program (= graduate within 2 semesters maximum)

    • live in Germany during the final stage of writing their BA/ MA thesis
    • have earned a main share of their credits and achieved good grades
  • Scholarship for social commitment

    Qualification:

    Applicants must

    • be enrolled at Anhalt Universtiy of Applied Sciences with the aim to obtain a university degree (= be at least in their 2nd semester at Anhalt)

    • be full time enrolled international student with good grades

    • be involved in international affairs such as the Buddy program or other volunteering activities in the international / intercultural university context

  • Application documents

    • Please read everything very carefully before you start to fill in the application form

    • Make sure you attach all the requested documents to your application form such as your CV

    Also you need to provide this reference form to your professor. They can send their reference letter directly to the international office via E-Mail to: internationaloffice(at)hs-anhalt.de

    • Application must reach the International Office by the deadline: 15th of April. Late arrivales can't be considered.
    • Do not send your application package electronically. Only printed applications can be accepted.
    • Applicants are going to receive confirmations of receipt (by email).
  • Selection process

    Please understand that we can only consider complete applications.

    The selection will be made on the basis of the application documents by a committee of representatives of Anhalt University.

    Amongst others, the selection criteria are: the likelihood of completing the degree program in the timeframe specified in the application papers as well as good grades, impact and an evaluation according to the letter of reference.

    Applicants will receive written feedback on the success of their application.

    Please note:

    As the number of scholarships is limited, there is no guarantee for receiving a scholarship.

Please fill out the application form only once and only when you already have all required documents. Before submitting the form, check that all the required documents have been uploaded.
Please include a timetable for the completion of your degree (see below) or proof of commitment and activities in the international context with your application. The proof of international commitment should not be issued by you personally.
If you do not upload either of these documents, your application can unfortunately not be considered.

After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail with a template of the reference letter. Please send this to your professor. This reference letter does not have to be uploaded, but sent directly from your professor to stibet.scholarship@hs-anhalt.de.

DAAD Scholar

Mr. Amer Goli from Iran is studying computer science at the Köthen site. In addition to his excellent academic achievements, Mr. Goli is a volunteer in several projects at the university, including his hard work in the mentoring and language guide programs. With his very good language skills in Farsi, Sorani, English and German, he supports the lasting communication between the university and the urban community and serves as a role model for many of his fellow students.
