The STEMPowHER project supports the visibility of female students in the STEM industry. In the form of workshops, lectures and discussions, you will receive useful information from guest speakers on relevant career topics. Topics of the STEMPowHER project - Female leadership, negotiation and career planning - Communication techniques at eye level within male-dominated corporate hierarchies - Salary structure and negotiation - Rights and protection in the event of abusive behaviour by colleagues and superiors - Women's rights in Germany and raising awareness of discrimination - Family reunification regulations and childcare

Within 3 days we prepare you in detail for your career entry in Germany. The intensive seminar takes place during the semester break. - Residence law, employment law and social security system - Developing your own career profile - Intercultural communication in the workplace - Professional job applications: Application documents, conducting job interviews & salary negotiations - Application photoshoot - Job search and application channels

A combination of company presentation and excursion gives you the chance to make contacts with local companies. Find out first-hand what challenges and processes STEM companies face. You can ask your questions about the application process directly and find out about vacancies. If your profile matches the company's requirements, an internship or a long-term position may open up in the near future.

On site in Köthen in the Student Lounge, mentors will advise you on current issues affecting your everyday student life in Germany. - Everyday student life in Germany (official procedures/residence law issues incl. referral advice) - Intercultural sensitization (Culture & Connect - exchange of experiences and networking with fellow German students) - As well as regular events on the topic of German (work) culture and career entry

The annual "Talentbrücke" conference brings STEM students together with local companies. The content of the event combines lectures, discussions and a job corner. In the job corner, experts will advise you on your employment opportunities and work permits as a third-country national. As part of the conference, you will be able to discuss job vacancies with other participants and company representatives and distribute your CV directly. The aim is for you to be referred to local companies (e.g. for a lab or future employment). In addition, alumni give presentations on best practice examples and share their perspective on your personal career entry.

We offer German language courses that prepare you for the job market in the long term. There are 2 parts for each language level: Part 1 - semester course (3 evenings per week) Part 2 - Intensive course during the semester break (5 days per week)

We will be happy to advise you personally or together in a group about starting your career in Germany.
