Dessau Business Mile 2026 – Network. Discover. Get Started.
On July 17, 2026, the FITTER project at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Anhalt Center for Continuing Education, brought together companies, talent, and research in Dessau. Attendees had the opportunity to discover innovations from the region, meet future employers, and explore career and collaboration opportunities—all in a compact, personalized, and hands-on setting.
The program included:
- Exhibiting companies showcasing their latest projects, products, and technologies
- Direct interaction with experts from Economics and academia
- Opportunities for labs, theses, jobs, and joint research and technology transfer projects
- Insights into practical, application-oriented solutions

The focus was on promoting dual study programs as a forward-looking educational path. The Continuing Education Center highlighted the many advantages of this format, in which sound theoretical knowledge is closely linked to practical professional experience. Visitors gained insights into how dual study programs not only ease the transition into professional life but also strengthen the transfer of knowledge between universities and companies.
At the same time, the corporate fair provided direct access to current regional job openings and supported the development of sustainable networks—crucial for long-term professional success. Through collaboration with regional companies, participants gained concrete insights into real-world projects and a variety of entry-level opportunities.
