Singing in the Bernburg City Choir is fun!

An offer for students of the Anhalt University in Bernburg

Singing promotes individual competence in coping with stress, enhances communication and expression skills, and builds self-esteem. Singing is an effective means of releasing emotional burdens and activating self-healing powers.

The Bernburg City Choir is all about the fun of singing and making music together. The choir is open to students of all disciplines and nationalities. Even inexperienced choir singers are invited to join us at any time.

Students are given the opportunity to pursue their artistic interests through various choral activities throughout the semester. Our offers include:

  • Weekly choir rehearsals
  • Vocal training during choir rehearsals
  • Possibility to integrate instrumental inclinations and skills
  • Organizing performances
  • Cultivation of the choral community

Ronny Strübing has been directing the city choir since January 2019. He brings with him a great deal of experience and professionalism. In the choir rehearsals we experience a lot of joy and liveliness and are part of a community across different age groups. We are musically versatile and sing everything "from...to...". The highlight is the preparation for the Christmas concerts.

We look forward to singing together with you. Even inexperienced choir singers are invited to join us at any time.

We meet every Wednesday at 19:30 in the Great Drawing Room at Bernburg Monastery. It is not necessary to register in advance. If you feel like singing along, just come on by!
