Overwhelmed or frustrated? Exam nerves or psychological problems? A degree course not only offers opportunities and possibilities, but also places high demands on you. We are a very family-oriented Department and it is our wish that everyone here is doing well. Please talk to us if you have any worries, grades, fears or problems, any of us will listen to you.

If you don't know who to turn to, our liaison lecturer Prof. Dr. Arne Berger is a good first point of contact alongside your instructor.

Studying not only offers opportunities and possibilities, but also places high demands on you. Study difficulties, personal problems or mental health problems are nothing out of the ordinary. In Germany, more than a quarter of the adult population is affected by a mental illness every year.

A counseling session can provide you with relief and distance from a deadlocked situation. It can create space for you to look for new possibilities and help you find concrete answers.

Of course, you are also very welcome if you don't really know what the problem is. Perhaps you are simply looking for someone to listen to you and help you "sort out" your thoughts.

At Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Elke Eckhardt offers psychological counseling for students. You can register by e-mail.

The social counseling service of the Studentenwerk provides you with information and advice on a wide range of study and everyday issues, especially on financing your studies and on claims against benefit providers.

Our aim is to work with you to develop individual concepts for financing the various phases of your studies. The aim is to find the best possible combination of various financing options.
