EMW students receive Germany Scholarship

At this year's award ceremony for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, a total of 36 students from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences were recognized for their special coursework - eleven of the scholarship holders are studying in the Department of Mechanical Engineering:

  • Mr. Florian Saager, Master Mechanical Engineering (AUKOM e. V.)
  • Ms. Angela Odame, Master Biomedical Engineering (courses taught in English and German) (Mitteldeutsche Braunkohle mbH)
  • Mr. Yunzhi Li, Master Mechanical Engineering (ThermHex Waben GmbH)
  • Mr. Nour Alsaleh, Bachelor Mechanical Engineering (TIM e. V.)
  • Ms. Anaum Nasir, Master Biomedical Engineering (courses taught in English and German) (KME Mansfeld GmbH)
  • Mr. Jannik-Loris Balint, Master Electrical and Computer Engineering (KME Mansfeld GmbH)
  • Mr. André Giesbrecht, Bachelor Biomedical Engineering (AUKOM e. V.)
  • Mr. Danny Günther, Bachelor Engineering and Management, (Mitteldeutsche Braunkohle mbH)
  • Ms. Linda Napieralski, Bachelor Biomedical Engineering (AUKOM e. V.)
  • Mr. Tom Scholz, Bachelor Mechanical Engineering (UNISON Engineering & Consultants GmbH)
  • Ms. Riya Bangia, Master Biomedical Engineering (courses taught in English and German) (enviaM)


Half of the funding for the scholarships comes from the above-mentioned companies and half from the federal government - the scholarship holders can look forward to 300.00 euros per month over 2 semesters.

For the scholarship holders, the Deutschlandstipendium is both an award and a relief during their studies: on the one hand, it helps them to finance their studies, and on the other hand, and above all, it is recognition for their outstanding coursework and often also for additional social commitment.
