Synergy par excellence - the SolarMobil project

Embedded in the research and teaching activities at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The SolarMobil project, which is run in cooperation with the Fraunhofer-CSP, is a good example of the synergy of knowledge and and areas of expertise among the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management.

The research project contributes to electromobility using solar energy and involves students from the following degree programs: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Solar Technology.

The focus of the project is no longer just a single vehicle, but all kinds of electric vehicles powered by electricity using solar cells. In addition to the current problematic issues, such as, lightweight construction, electrification, vehicle dynamics and design, other new approaches are being taken to highlight different aspects of vehicle development.. The cross-functional set-up of the project teams has opened up many new possibilities.
