On June 18, 2025, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences once again invites you to its traditional monastery festival - celebrating the 30th edition of the popular summer festival. From 4 p.m., the historic Bernburg Monastery will be transformed into a lively stage for music, dance and culture. Organized by staff and students of the university, the festival offers a varied programme for all generations - with free admission, exciting exhibitions, creative hands-on activities and a special timetable for a relaxed arrival and departure.
Whether in the inner courtyard, outer courtyard or in the ruins - there will be music, dancing and partying everywhere. The musical spectrum ranges from rock and punk to folk, cello and singer-songwriters to hip-hop, EDM and synth-pop. The line-up includes Lucid Dream, Länett, The Jeals, Heron and many more. The opening act will be the cello ensemble "Ultracello", later Paula Petersson will take over the outdoor stage. International students from the university will also perform on the stage in the ruins - with the project "Music connects".
There is also plenty to discover away from the music: On the monastery meadow, a creative market invites you to browse, and in the large drawing room, students from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences show their "Klosterwelten" open space designs. Design students present their work in the cloister, and visitors can immerse themselves in virtual experiences in the monastery café - or marvel at architecturally inspired birdhouses.
Anhalt University of Applied Sciences would like to thank all supporters, associations and sponsors who are making the monastery festival possible again this year. There will be a special timetable for the Bernburg district, so you can leave your car at home with a good conscience.
