New from winter semester 2025/26: Library of Things
From the new winter semester, we are expanding our range of services to include the "Library of Things". The offer includes a collection of objects that go beyond books and can be borrowed free of charge.
Borrow instead of buy!
The Library of Things offers a selection of technology (charging cables, keyboard, mouse, hubs, etc.) and office materials at three locations, which can be borrowed for a week and used directly in the library or at home. This offer is part of the sustainability and shareconomy efforts and follows a trend that has already been successfully implemented in many libraries.
How does it work?
- Borrow for a week or use directly in the library! The items are displayed with empty boxes near the counter of your local library.
- Overview in the catalog! You can find an overview of all the items here in the catalog.
- Offer for all library users! The "Library of Things" is part of our regular services and is available to all students and staff at the university.
The library team will be happy to help you select and use the technology. Further suggestions for purchases can be submitted by e-mail or at the counters.
