For the winter semester 2025/26, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is inviting its new students at the three campus locations Bernburg, Dessau and Köthen to the traditional ErstiDays. The new students can expect a varied program ranging from welcome events and introductory events to numerous opportunities to get to know each other.
In addition to subject-specific introductions to the respective degree programs, the ErstiDays also offer a good opportunity to explore the new environment. Campus tours help newcomers to quickly find their way around, and students from higher semesters are available to answer questions. The various student organizations, the University Libraries and the Student Union also introduce themselves and invite you to actively participate in campus life. Each department and degree program organizes an individual program for the new students. Below is an overview of the most important program points:
Campus Dessau:
In Dessau, the Department of Design starts as early as October 1 with a kick-off event at 10 a.m. in Building 01, Room 303. The Department of Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation follows on October 6 with a central welcome at 10 a.m. and subject-specific introductions from 11 a.m. onwards.
Campus Bernburg:
At Campus Bernburg, the central ErstiDay will take place on October 6. The Department of Agriculture, Ecotrophology and Nature Conservation will start at 9 a.m. with a joint event in the Römerhaus. The "Ersti bags" will also be handed out there. The subsequent program introduces institutions such as the Student Service Center, the Studentenwerk Halle, the International Office, the University Library, University Sports and the Student Union (StuRa). At around 11:15 a.m., various master's degree programs will present their projects. After lunch at 13:45, a campus rally invites you to explore the campus. The Department of Economics welcomes the first semester students at 09:15 in Strenzfeld's Neue Mitte, the introductory event starts at 10 a.m. in Hörsaal 1 (HS 1 - Building 17 - Bernburg). Campus tours for Bachelor's and Master's students start at 12:30.
Campus Köthen:
In Köthen, the departments welcome their first semester students individually on October 6. The central first-year information event is of particular importance for all degree programs at Campus Köthen. It will take place on October 6 from 12:30 to 14:00 in the Audimax of the Grünes Gebäude (Building 02 - Köthen) (Room 027, Bernburger Str. 56). Afterwards, a guided campus tour will show new students the most important facilities, meeting points and contact points.

Matriculation ceremonies in Bernburg and Köthen
In addition to the ErstiDays, the first semester students at the Bernburg and Köthen campuses will be introduced to academic life with a matriculation ceremony. The matriculation ceremony will take place on October 15 from 7 p.m. in the Campus Bernburg cafeteria, followed by the traditional Imma party. At Campus Köthen, a matriculation ceremony will follow on October 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fasanerieallee cafeteria, followed by the "Immiball". Here, too, you are invited to wear festive evening attire.
