At the 29th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems (KES 2025) held at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Osaka, Adrian Schröder presented the paper co-authored by Prof. Sebastian Trojahn and himself, entitled “The Practical Implementation of 5G Technology in the Construction Industry: an AI-assisted Systematic Literature Review”.
The conference featured engaging discussions, valuable insights and numerous new contacts within the international research community.
Key insight:
Technology alone is not enough to tackle complex challenges. It is only through a holistic implementation based on the Technology–Organisation–Environment (TOE) framework that innovations can deliver their full impact – with clearly defined roles, scalable pilot projects and robust KPIs.
Current research at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences builds on this, with the aim of further developing practical approaches to successful technology transfer in the construction industry.
