On November 6 and 7, 2025, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences’ Bernburg campus had the great honor of hosting this year’s gathering of all doctoral students from universities in Saxony-Anhalt in the fields of social sciences, health sciences, and economics.
The two-day event centered on one key objective: networking. After all, pursuing a doctorate doesn’t have to be a lonely journey: interacting with like-minded peers, receiving methodological support, and forming academic partnerships for publications and presentations all play a significant role in the success of a doctoral project. This year’s program once again focused on these aspects.
Doctoral students from universities took the opportunity to present their research projects, gather feedback, and further their development through interdisciplinary discussions. The colloquium was accompanied by a diverse range of workshops and discussion forums designed to provide targeted support at various stages of the doctoral process
In addition to the academic presentations, the event provided ample opportunities for networking—from in-depth conversations during breaks to social gatherings in the evenings. This led to the formation of new academic connections, collaborations, and ideas for future projects.
A big thank you to all the doctoral students and advisors at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, Harz University of Applied Sciences, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, as well as to the entire planning team!
We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year!
