As part of the V2X-ins-Land project, a joint workshop was held with the project team from OVGU Magdeburg at the Bernburg campus. The goal of the event was to assess the current status of the project, analyze operational requirements on-site, and plan the next steps for technical implementation.
The morning was devoted entirely to an operational route analysis and a joint site inspection. During a guided tour of the route between the Bernburg-Strenzfeld and Köthen sites, the approximately 50-kilometer route was examined in detail. Among other things, critical sections of the route were assessed with regard to their infrastructure and traffic-related characteristics.
This was followed by a strategy and planning workshop in the afternoon. During the workshop, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion of the current project status and, among other things, reviewed the technical specifications for RSU and OBU hardware. Subsequently, the next steps for the project were determined.
