Writing workshop
You have to write a text and don't exactly know where to start?
Do you already know what to write or already have a draft text, but you need some help organizing it because the information is all jumbled up?
Are you wondering whether your text is scientific enough?
Find answers to these and other questions in the writing workshop. We support you with your individual writing projects and help you develop your writing skills.
We’re here to help you: interdisciplinary, committed and at eye level. It doesn’t matter if it’s a term paper or a final thesis, a short question or a long discussion.
We aim to help you practice writing as a professional skill for communication and work, so that you can deal with the demands of your studies and your future career efficiently and achieve satisfying results.
We invite you from November 18, 2022 on:
- Group offer:
“Teamwork makes the dream work” ... is the motto of the writing workshop. You will work together in a small group, making progress on your individual writing projects, sharing ideas, and receiving targeted input and support as needed.
We meet on Fridays from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the group study room in the library (5th floor). - Individual offers:
Anyone can get writer’s block at some point during the writing process. Stress and pressure hinder your creative and productive work.
Very often, talking about it in one-to-one conversations can help you discover ways to get out of this stressful phase.
You can come to us for consultation on Thursdays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. or at another time by appointment.
Please send an email in advance to: schreibwerkstatt@hs-anhalt.de
By the way:
Even if it's called “writing consultation” : having already written something is not a prerequisite for seeking advice from us.
Students come to the writing consultation service with a wide range of concerns, such as:
- how to approach a task
- how to develop a “common thread”
- how to overcome procrastination
- how to increase their own productivity
- how to plan/use their time efficiently
Please note:
The writing workshop is not there to do the work for you, but to help students help themselves. We do not proofread and correct entire texts. However, we try to help you if you have any questions and issues and we will give advice and assistance. In the end, you are responsible for how the finished text turns out.
