Department Executive Committee

The Department Executive Committee is the department’s collegial decision-making body and is responsible for the organization of the study program. This includes ensuring the range of courses on offer are within the framework of the available facilities, extends to making decisions on program and examination regulations, and finally ends with awarding university degrees. The committee also has the task of implementing necessary quality assurance measures based on a regular evaluation of teaching and to take initiative to reform the study programs. The Department Executive Committee sets priorities for research projects and their coordination. Furthermore, the committee is also responsible for drawing up a range of proposals including structural and development plans, new appointments, and statutes that regulate the procedures and criteria for the allocation of study places in the university selection process.
