Responsibilities
The Dean, the Vice-Dean, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the planning and organization staff member and the Dean's Office secretary make up the Dean's Office. The Dean's Office is headed by the Dean. It organizes the day-to-day business of the Department, administers the funds allocated to the Department to fulfill its tasks and controls their use. It creates the prerequisites for the persons assigned to the Department to fulfill their obligations, in particular to properly fulfill their teaching and examination obligations and their tasks in the supervision of students.

As a collegial decision-making body of the Department, the Department Executive Committee is responsible for the organization of studies by ensuring the range of courses offered within the framework of the available equipment, deciding on the study and examination regulations and on the awarding of degrees. At the same time, it has the task of implementing the necessary quality assurance measures on the basis of regular evaluation of teaching and taking the initiative to reform the course of study. The Department Executive Committee sets the priorities for research projects and their coordination. In addition to other tasks, it is responsible for drawing up structural and development plans, appointment proposals and statutes regulating the procedures and criteria for the allocation of study places in the university selection process.

The examinations committee is responsible for organizing and conducting examinations. It deals with the recognition of examination results and is responsible for the legal supervision of compliance with the examination regulations for all degree programs in the Department. Among other things, the examinations committee appoints the examiners, determines the place and date of examinations and monitors examination deadlines. It is also the appeal body.
