Cooperation+Service
The Microbial Communities working group has a good international network and is open to collaborations and research contracts. Prof. Benndorf is co-founder and scientific advisor of the Metaproteomics Initiative. The spectrum of cooperation includes advice on metaproteomics as well as the implementation and bioinformatic evaluation of metaproteomics experiments. In addition, microorganisms are isolated and identified from microbial communities.
Cooperation or services in the field of metaproteomics always require an individual agreement, as the work steps must be adapted according to the origin of the samples and the objectives of the analysis. Please contact Prof. Benndorf.
Prerequisites for the identification of isolates with MALDI-TOF are fresh pure cultures. If isolates are not included in the databases provided by Bruker, isolates can be added to an additional database of the user and checked against each other for identity. This procedure reduces the number of isolates that need to be identified by physiological/biochemical characteristics or by sequencing of 16S rRNA genes. Please contact Ms. Giliazeva for further information.
