ACHEMA is the World Forum for Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering and Biotechnology. From June 10 to 14, 2024, the Frankfurt exhibition grounds will once again be the meeting place for the global process industry.

At the Department of Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, engineers in Process, Food and Pharmaceutical Engineering and Biotechnology are trained in a highly application-oriented manner. Both the numerous state-of-the-art laboratories and ~600^m2 of pilot plant space for pilot-scale work offer the Department's students and lecturers excellent conditions for teaching and applied research. These will be expanded even further with the new research building in the field of food production for Campus Köthen at Hubertus, which will be funded from 2023. The project- and practice-oriented degree program at the Department teaches digital skills for Industry 4.0 in addition to job-specific knowledge and skills. Students and instructors have access to PC pools as well as technical equipment and rooms for developing VR projects. The international master's degree program Molecular Biotechnology (all taught courses in English), which was introduced in 2020, ensures an international teaching and research climate at the Department. Applied and transfer-oriented research, some of which is interdisciplinary with other departments, focuses primarily on the life sciences, an area that defines the university's profile.

The Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering department is represented in the Research & Innovation area in Hall 6.0/E1 with several topics.
