Department of Design presents itself

The Department of Design has a 20-year tradition of participating in the Leipzig Book Fair.
This year, the communicative and active atmosphere will once again focus entirely on the creative potential of the visitors - in the spirit of the story of Tom Sawyer.

Visitors are allowed to get involved at the virginly "empty" stand - consisting of a white wall, white floor and furniture - and create stories, poetry, images and transform the white surfaces into a unique azure-ultramarine-petrol-blue word or language space with the help of countless small and large stamps.

Workshops for screen printing, an insight into a virtual design world, magazines, various design products, a game developed by students on sustainability - which has already been requested by the Federal Environment Agency - will be available to try out and much more will once again lead to an intensive exchange and an impressive insight into practical design at the Department of Design in Dessau for all visitors. The exhibition stand and the workshops will be created and designed by the students themselves and accompanied at the exhibition.
