Objectives of the IEUT
The 21st century will be accompanied by enormous upheavals in the area of energy supply for mankind. This development, which has already begun, is characterized by the greatest possible use of so-called regenerative energy sources as well as the conservation of natural resources and the protection of the environment. The new technologies are increasingly linked to the rapidly developing information technologies and to strategies for changing and rationalizing the use of energy and raw materials, as well as to the new socio-economic developments of our time. Against this background, the Institute has set itself the following tasks
-
to support teaching and research in this field at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences with its own initiatives,
-
to contribute to the improvement of scientific and technical progress with research results,
-
to maintain the creative, advisory and planning dialog with representatives of the legislative and executive branches in energy and environmentally relevant sectors, especially in the water sector and renewable energies,
-
to promote and propagate such efforts on an international scale and to represent them appropriately in teaching.
