1. description
All services accessible from the Internet will be secured by an additional factor in the future. The IT Service Center supports users:
- with fundamental procedural questions
- in selecting suitable authentication methods
- by providing support services
2. authorized users
People who use university services via the Internet will need at least one additional factor in the future. People who log on to university devices (pool computers, stationary and mobile work computers) will also need an additional factor in the future.
3. application
If no hardware is required from the university, but the required factor is generated via the app, private email address, or a TOTP generator, no application is necessary. Otherwise, university employees must apply for the relevant hardware from the IT Service Center using a form.
4. regulations
If you decide to use hardware-based authentication as an employee, you can only choose between a Yubikey or a card reader for your employee card. Unfortunately, the university cannot provide hardware for students. However, there are a variety of other authentication methods available.
5. support
