Anhalt University of Applied Sciences uses a communication and data network based on the IP protocol. This network is used as a transport medium for various network-based services.
The communication network is operated across all sites as a private network via radio relay links and is redundantly connected to external networks across all sites via the DFN-Verein as provider.
The ISC is responsible for

Users identify themselves in the network by means of a university-wide unique user ID (UID) and, in the case of special requirements, by means of a password (PWD).
2. Authorised users
All members of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences can use the university's communication network.

Authorisation to use the communication network and standard services is automatically granted upon joining the university. The use of special services must generally be requested from the service provider.
