For some halls of residence, which have been equipped accordingly by the operators, there are contractual arrangements with the university that allow tenants to use private computers to access the university network.

2. authorised users
Access can be used by all students if the hall of residence fulfils the relevant requirements.
3. application
An application is not necessary. The halls of residence all have a network socket which students can use to gain access without having to register.
4. regulations
Basic regulations for use are contained in the
Operating Regulations 1/03 „Residence access to the university network“,
issued by the ISC.
5. Costs
The university does not charge the user any direct costs for using the access. The operators of the halls of residence generally charge a certain amount to refinance the infrastructure. The exact amount can be obtained from the landlord.
