In contrast to the wide range of support services available to help Anhalt University of Applied Sciences research groups secure funding, this section lists projects that the FTGZ has secured itself and/or in which it is actively involved with the content.

KAT Network

Jan 2024 – Dec 2027 Shaping structural change through research – Realigning the Competence Network for Applied and Transfer-Oriented Research (KAT) to contribute to climate neutrality through collaborative, interdisciplinary research with companies and research institutions in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

nEUtzwerk - EU Academic Network of Saxony-Anhalt

Jan 2024 – Sep 2028 The goal of the project is to strengthen and expand the University of Applied Sciences’ competitive, international fundraising efforts in the field of LSA, to strengthen the nEUtzwerk network, and to provide staff and researchers with the necessary training.

Startpunkt.Gründen

Feb 2026 – Jul 2028 The “Startpunkt.Gründen” project systematically expands start-up support at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences into a comprehensive support model. The goal is to structurally embed entrepreneurial thinking in teaching, research, and university culture, identify academic potential at an early stage, and sustainably strengthen regional innovation capacity.

Perspektive.Gründen

Sep 2024 – Dec 2025 The “Perspektive.Gründen” project supports aspiring entrepreneurs on their path to self-employment, whether through innovative start-ups, the launch of a freelance career, or business succession. The goal is to foster entrepreneurial thinking and action through startup consulting and specialized courses offered as part of the degree program.

EXIST - Smart Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas

May 2020 – Oct 2024 The federal government’s “Smart Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas” funding project focuses on the region stretching from the Salzlandkreis district through the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district and the independent city of Dessau-Roßlau to the Wittenberg district.

HS³ Go Europe

Jul 2018 – Jun 2023 Three universities in Saxony-Anhalt are tapping into European research opportunities.

Jan 2018 – Dec 2022 The "Innovative University" project FORZA ("Research and Technology Transfer for Life in the Digital Age") is funded under the "Innovative University" initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) “Innovative University” under grant number 03IHS047A.

TRAINS_UV31-Alliance Management

Jun 2019 – Dec 2022 The TRAINS Alliance consists of railway engineering companies, researchers from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, and specialized research institutions in the Anhalt region. Technical and social innovations in the railway technology sector will strengthen the Anhalt region as an attractive location.
