Anna

I dreamt to start my own small business.

A year and a half ago I was a second-year student of Applied Mathematics at the University of Odessa.  At that time, I worked part-time as a marketing specialist in a small marketing agency together with graduates of our University. While working there, I encountered many problems in optimizing my own work process.

That's how the idea for my project was born. I started to develop my own web application and applied for funding, hoping to get support for my idea. Unfortunately, a war broke out in Ukraine but could not ruin my dream.

With the support of Anhalt University my family (my younger brother, mother and me) went to another country. We have been living in Köthen for a year already. It has been not an easy year: problems and challenges appeared and grew like a snowball. New country, new language, different rules and people. Everything was difficult and scary. But step by step I face and overcome the difficulties and now I study electrical engineering at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and continue developing my own project. It is true that I did not manage everything by myself. I got an incredible support from my family. Actually, we support each other. My Mother showed me an example of a fearless and irresistible woman, raising two kids, learning a new language, who even decided to get a new qualification and became a student at Anhalt University too.

My goal was not to change myself, but only my location.  And I am confident that my project, when completed, will not only help to optimize the marketer's work but with its help, comprehensive studies of innovations will be carried out and feedback will be summarized.

My experience is a shining example of not having to hide your work at a desk and show it to no one. My way is not the only possible way to promote a project and your own growth.

You always have to try to promote your ideas, and eventually, you will find your opportunities. The main thing is believing in yourself and working towards your goal.
