My goal is to expand the target audience for Ukrainian applications and literary work by translating them into English and German, thereby increasing the demand for Ukrainian content internationally.

Hello, my name is Oleksandra, and I am pursuing a Master's degree in Software Localization at Anhalt University. My journey began in a small village called Danylivka in the Odesa region. Even in school, I knew that I wanted to connect my life with the study of foreign languages, to bring people closer together, despite language barriers. Therefore, I entered the Odesa National Polytechnic University, where I studied English and German and received a bachelor's degree in Philology.

During my last year of study, thanks to a partnership with HS Anhalt, I had a life-changing opportunity to attend the "Spring School" where I got acquainted with the local educational program. Every day I discovered new professional knowledge and immersed myself in German culture thanks to the friendly and supportive academic community at Hochschule Anhalt.

The experience gained inspired me to continue my educational path here, and the received funding from “Fit4Ukraine” project made my aspiration a reality. The start of my studies marked a new chapter in my life, where I had to start a new path, meet new people, and learn a completely new program in my second foreign language. It was difficult at first, but I always got my questions answered and help when needed it.

Having obtained an education in my specialty, I plan to contribute to the reconstruction of my country.

My advice to those who want to study abroad is not to be afraid of challenges, because the best thing that can happen to you is success.
