Career Booster Haldensleben

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the students of the FITTER4YourCareer program had the exciting opportunity to take part in a company excursion to Hermes Fulfilment in Haldensleben. This excursion offered participants valuable insights into the processes of a leading company in the logistics and fulfillment sector. The day started early as the group met at 07:45 and set off on the bus towards Haldensleben.

The introduction provided a comprehensive overview of the company structure and the various career opportunities offered by Hermes Fulfilment. During the guided tour of the plant, the students were given the opportunity to get to know the various departments and how they work. They were particularly impressed by the state-of-the-art automated processes and the efficient organization within the company.

Many participants expressed their fascination with the innovative technology, such as an unloading robot from Boston Dynamics, which is used at Hermes. Following the tour, the students met with the HR representative to find out more about career opportunities and entry-level positions. This direct contact opportunity was perceived as extremely positive by the participants, as they had the opportunity to ask their individual questions and establish valuable networks. After a tasty lunch in the Hermes canteen, which gave the participants time for informal discussions, the group returned to Köthen at around 1:30 pm, enriched by new experiences and impressions. The students were consistently enthusiastic about the excursion.
