Profi+MED Course Explores Dessau's Technical History During Advent
The course participants gathered at the renowned Hugo Junkers Museum of Technology in Dessau on the first weekend of Advent to explore the achievements of the famous inventor and entrepreneur. From the history of Junkers airplanes to the visionary art of engineering, the participants experienced an enlightening journey through the history of technology. The virtual flight with Apollo 11 was particularly impressive, causing great amazement among those present and bringing space history to life. The participants brought their families with them, so that the excursion also became a social event. Afterwards, mulled wine and gingerbread created a festive atmosphere and made the joint visit a contemplative start to the Advent season. Everyone returned home with new knowledge and fond memories and agreed that this day at the Museum of Technology was a successful combination of language training and community.
Practical Experience as Part of the Learning Concept
On November 23, 2024, the course participants attended the neurological colloquium in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Under the motto "Heart meets brain", the Alexianer Klinik Bosse hosted a specialist conference from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. Progress in stroke treatment has been rapid in recent years. The close cooperation between neurologists, neuroradiologists and cardiologists in the field of stroke medicine, in the diagnosis and treatment of often cardiogenic causes, but also in efficient primary and secondary prophylaxis, increases the chances of preventing strokes or treating them in the best possible way enormously. The Profi+Med participants had the unique opportunity to exchange ideas with specialist colleagues and attend lectures on relevant topics in the German language of instruction.
