The Department of Design at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is continuing its 20-year tradition at the Leipzig Book Fair and will once again be inviting visitors to help shape, think and feel from March 27 to 30, 2025 in Hall 5, Stand B 501. In a communicative and open atmosphere, the focus this year will once again be on the creative potential of visitors - in the spirit of the spirit of adventure and creativity embodied in the story of Tom Sawyer.
The stand itself is deliberately virgin in its basic form: white walls, white floor, white furniture - an empty stage that invites visitors to take action. Using large and small stamps, guests have the opportunity to fill the space with language of instruction, poetry, images and thoughts, all in the spirit of the book fair. The white space is gradually transformed into a multi-layered, azure-ultramarine-petrol blue language and image space that thrives on the diversity and imagination of its designers.
The Department of Design also offers a lively insight into its diverse fields of work. Visitors not only have the opportunity to get creative themselves, but can also attend practical workshops, for example on screen printing, gain an insight into virtual design worlds and discover student publications and designed products. A special highlight is a game developed by students on the subject of sustainability, which has already aroused the interest of the Federal Environment Agency. The entire exhibition stand and the extensive program are designed, implemented and supervised on site by the department's students themselves - the concept reflects the practical orientation in teaching.
