Course content and objectives
Knowledge of financing, controlling, leadership, strategy, and marketing are also taught in agricultural bachelor’s degree programs, but future managers should learn about them in more depth. This is because many agricultural companies, conventional just as ecological, today are looking for competent experts who also have the essential leadership skills needed for management positions.
In the context of the degree program, which is intended to be a distance-learning program, future leaders are prepared to take on management positions. In agriculture as well as in agribusiness, management knowledge and skills are needed to recognize current trends at an early point in time, view them as challenges for the company, and implement targeted actions in response. Applying merit-based human resource management, skillful leading of discussions and negotiations, controlling, and strategic management are the key requirements for this.
The distance learning program in Agricultural Management is completed using modern e-learning methods. Of course intensive supervision by the university’s faculty is guaranteed. With a maximum of 25 students per semester, active networking and mutual exchanges are a part of the experience.
Requirements
The admission requirement is a qualified university degree with 210 credits.
If you have fewer than 210 credits from your first degree, you can make up the missing credits by taking additional modules during your studies. It is possible to transfer credits acquired outside the university from professional and further education.
Recognized German language certificates for international applicants:

- Equivalent language certificates if applicable
Proof must be provided of at least one year of professional activity in agriculture or in a field upstream or downstream of it, which was completed after the first degree course.
During a personal admissions interview in Bernburg, the motivation and suitability of prospective students for the course are discussed.
