You are welcome to come to the Writing Advisory Service with any questions you may have about your writing project! The advisory team works across disciplines and outside the curriculum.
Our advisory services:
The service is aimed at students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines and comprises two central forms of advice to help you improve your writing and research skills, overcome hurdles and obstacles and successfully write academic papers:
1. researching & writing
Academic writing and researching specialist literature are integral parts of your studies and form the basis for every academic paper.
Possible questions are:
- How do I improve my writing skills?
- How do I structure a text sensibly?
- How do I find relevant sources and literature for my topic?
- How do I quote correctly and avoid plagiarism?
To take advantage of our writing tutoring, monthly consultation hours are available at all locations as well as individual consultation appointments in person or online. You can find more information and view our calendar of events here.
2. writing coaching
Can't get started, stuck or running out of time? When difficulties arise in the writing process, the writing coaching team is your first port of call.
The coaching service is open to all interested parties at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Possible questions include:
- Why do I keep finding excuses not to write my paper?
- How do I establish routines that structure my working day?
- How do I use my time resources? - Does a work plan help?
- How do I design my working environment for concentrated work and well-being?
- How do I prevent or solve writer's block?
