Wednesday, October 17, 2018: In a festive atmosphere at Köthen Castle, a total of 33 students from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences were awarded a Deutschlandstipendium - a total of around 200 applications were received. Ten of this year's scholarship holders are studying Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at the Department of EMW:
- Mr. Nour Aldin Alsaleh
- Mr. Jannik-Loris Balint
- Ms. Lisa Bauer
- Mr. Christian Becker
- Mr. Julian Brust
- Mr. Amjad Kassoumeh
- Mr. Ferdinand Lorek
- Mr. Christian Nießner
- Mr. Nirat Raut
- Mr. Ben Swiniarski
Scholarships are a great thing in at least two respects: firstly, they make it easier for scholarship holders to finance their studies and secondly, they are always - and above all - recognition for outstanding achievements and/or special commitment. This also applies to the Germany Scholarships, which were awarded at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences for the eighth time this year. The funding for this comes from both institutional and private sources - numerous companies are sponsors and invest in future specialists in this way.
Students awarded a Deutschlandstipendium receive 300 euros per month for two semesters, with the federal government contributing 50 percent of the total amount. The organizer and contact point for the programme is the Anhalt Center for Continuing Education at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
