Training courses offered by the library
The library offers training courses for all members of the university. In addition to guided tours of the site libraries and basic library introductions, we teach research techniques and various skills for academic work and provide an introduction to literature management and the use of AI tools.
Research training
We also offer English-language training courses on research and literature management with Citavi. The training courses are held on request. A minimum group size of 5 people is required for a training course to take place. Individuals can request a recording of a previous training course and the accompanying materials. Simply contact the library to do so. We are happy to help!

Writing advice
Would you like support in the writing process or do you have problems with writing or questions about writing academic texts? You are welcome to come to the Writing Advisory Service to discuss your writing project! The advisory team works on an interdisciplinary and extra-curricular basis.
In addition to existing curricular department-specific and University Library services for teaching research and information skills, we offer support to improve individual writing skills and overcome hurdles in the writing process!

Writing nights
The university library offers writing nights at regular intervals.
In several workshops, lectures and individual consultations, important skills for writing theses are taught. The focus is on writing preparation, literature research and writing advice as well as lots of information on the topics of artificial intelligence and literature management. The writing night takes place virtually and in cooperation with the colleagues of the Magdeburg-Stendal University Library.
