On 16 and 17 June 2025, the 18th International PhD Workshop took place in Magdeburg in collaboration with universities in Saxony-Anhalt. PhD students from various countries came together to present their current research in the field of logistics and to exchange ideas with other participants and experts in topic-specific groups.
In terms of content, the focus this year was on three key areas: supply chain management in the food and medical sectors, logistics planning for distribution centres, and Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0. These were complemented by a wide range of other fascinating individual topics.
The aim of the workshop is to promote international networking among the participating PhD students and to strengthen interdisciplinary exchange in the long term. The accepted papers will be published in a conference proceedings volume following the workshop.
Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is providing support both in the assessment of the submitted entries and in the organisation of the workshop.
