Over 711 years old - the walls of the monastery in Bernburg have seen a lot. In the 14th century it was home to monks, in the 17th century it was used as a hospital. Today, people dance, celebrate and laugh at festivals in a special atmosphere in the restored monastery corridors. The monastery Christmas and the university's monastery festival are firm fixtures in Bernburg's calendar of events.
One group in particular often sees the walls as a place to plan, learn and be together: The landscape architecture students at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Bernburg. Some of their classes take place within the historic walls. But it's not just during the week that you meet students here. They are also regularly to be found on Sundays. Do they study there too?
